Bereavement panui on behalf of the Hohepa whanau, regarding the passing of Wayne Ta-Waingia Hohepa, who sadly passed away in Perth, Australia on 31st August 2025. Matua arrived to Auckland this morning and whanau will be taking him to Tapuaeharuru Marae, where he will be laying in state until his funeral day (expected arrival 1.30pm-3.30pm)The funeral service will be held at the marae on Monday 8th September from 11am followed by burial at Wahanui Urupa.
