Passed away peacefully at Te Awa Care Village, Cambridge on Sunday 28th of April 2024, aged 96. Dearly loved husband of Betty, much loved and respected father of Gordon, Bruce and Janette, loved father-in-law of Jean, and Debbie. Treasured grandfather of Nick, Angela, Lucy, Stephen, Cam, Rochelle and Kristina. Great grandfather of Malachi, Stella, Harlie, Charlie, River, Louie and Bodhi.
A Service to celebrate Edward’s life to be held at the Union Parish Church, 43 Queen Street, Cambridge on Tuesday 7th of May at 11.00am.

Betty, Gordon, Bruce and Jan, I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of Eddie's passing. You have all been wonderful to me and were my Waihi Beach foster family. I loved staying with you after our bach was sold. Without your hospitality over those years, I would have lost touch with the beach and I can't imagine my life without Waihi Beach. Eddie was a force of nature and a true Statesman - with a wicked sense of humour! He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. All my love. Tania
