Tributes

Leon was such a funny and kind man, so generous with his time, skill and humour and could tell many wonderful stories. We were so happy to have had the chance for him to lead our group on caving and climbing camps. He will be very dearly missed by so many. Our deepest thoughts and condolences to Shelley, Lizzie, Courtney and Renee - and all Leon's family and friends. RIP

Leon, you've left a hole in our hearts. You were 1 in a million man. You knew what to say and how to make a dull moment brighter. Your girls and wife were your world and you shared that so much with us. Life won't be the same without you. See you on the other side bro... miss you..

Kayla

My thoughts are with you all at this tragic time. I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you at the service. Thank you, Leon, for all the great memories while we grew up – family ski trips to Mt Ruapehu, Christmas at the bach in Moonshine and of course, the cars. I always admired your sense of adventure and your willingness and ability to give anything a go. Rest in peace cuz.
