So sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Karen & I were in the USA and only found out after returning to NZ a couple of weeks after the service. Ken had a big influence on my career, both in Whangarei and then in Auckland. I considered him as a friend and am forever grateful for the time we spent together.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family all those years ago Ken. Thank you for the memories. We shared a love of music (and coffee). We had our traditions, like me arriving at your place and saying "Hi, I'm home" and the Christmas mince pies I'd make every year. You made me feel like your extended family and for that, I am truly grateful. Finding my soul mate later in life, you also welcomed my husband Paul. You leave a legacy of an amazing family built by you and Wendy. As we mourn your death and celebrate your life Ken, we shall cherish the memories and the moments we shared. You are forever in our hearts.
