With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Ella Henderson, beloved wife of the late Donald James Henderson, mother to Catherine and Hugh, mother-in-law to Greg, and grandmother to Ella, Reece, Barnaby, and Reuben. Marie passed away peacefully in Auckland on May 14, 2024, at the age of 88.
A celebration of Marie's life will be held at the Northbrook Chapel & Rossburn Receptions, Spark Lane, Rangiora on Thursday, May 30 at 2.00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Foundation in her memory. Message to the family C/- PO Box 35, Rangiora 7440.
May Marie's soul rest in peace, and may her loved ones find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.

On behalf of her uncle Alexander James McAuley and his family we are sorry to her passing and our condolences go out to her family. I only talked to Marie a few times but she had a great knowledge of the family past and a few secrets went with her. Rest in peace Marie

Though our paths crossed just briefly, it was a pleasure to have had Marie as a neighbour and enjoy her company, wisdom and wonderful sense of humour. A true lady and a strong woman to whom family meant all.
