To Auntie Shirley, I enjoyed each time I came back to NZ, and while passing Stratford, that you welcomed us in for a cuppa, biscuits or even something home made and a chat. It's important families come together and today, that is not happening so much, and I'm guilty of that. So, yeah, Thankyou for those get togethers. Not going to make it today, to celebrate your life, and going to miss stopping by. William Herivel

Condolences to the Hancock family for the loss of our dear sister in-law Shirley. She was such a fun person to be around and had a lot of stories to tell about her work as a nurse and in the rest home sector. She was such a talented knitter who shared those skills with me. Unfortunately COVID will keep us away today. Margaret and Robin Vickers

My deepest condolences to Shirley’s family at this time. Granny was so kind to us during our stay at St Mary’s School (years 1996-2000). She provided comfort to us all and a home away from home. I’m sad to hear of her passing. Rest in peace Granny
