RIP Michael, apologies for not being able to attend your service today. As neighbors at the Birkenhead Fire Station staff houses, Nth Shore Jnr FS, always great to have your support, wisdom and to have you and your family as family. You may not know me but Mikes father and my father were best friends. Gerry Mairs and Gordon Barrett were firefighters together in the 60’s and our families would hang out at Masterson Bay, Leigh and of course his parents house to watch the rugby! I remember Mike as a young teen, just 2 yrs older than me, always ready with a laugh and a tease. Wishing you all, the love of friends and family and warm memories to hold on to forever.
