We are very sorry for your loss; what a wonderful testament your father has left; he began, continued, and finished—something for all of us to strive for.

To the family, both your Dad and Mum have had a special memory in my heart from the day i was part of their acquaintance, their welcome into their home, their example to follow and their Christian faith have a legacy left of respect. You guys (and gals) will now miss your Dad as you have missed your Mum, but I are sure they have all your respect and loving memories. Thinking of you all and know this, they rest in sleep in the Lord waiting his return and if I be the judge, they will rise up to meet their Saviour, Christ their brother and his God and their God the Father of all. This I believe. Blessings and comfort for to day's farewell.

He was a very special man! In my younger years he was more than an uncle- he was a friend and like an older brother to me.He taught me many things about life, cars, boats, mechanics, fishing, hunting, building. And am sure there are other things. He had a huge influence on my life and the person I am today. About life: I observed the incredible love that he and his life partner Aunty Florence had for each other and for their family. They also accepted me when at times they probably wished me further. About cars:he was largely instrumental in teaching me to drive in a old Ford prefect which if you got it wrong when taking off, you would kangaroo hop down the road. This was before I was old enough to be driving on the road. I also remember the 49 niner Ford with the whole family on board in the no seat belt days when some body crashed into the back of us and I ended up with a broken nose. There are many more stories that could be told.He was also a talented musician. I want to say hello to Russell, Rob, Beth, Jannie, Murray and Shirley along with partners and grand children. I don't have anything special to say except that I am hurting inside for you all. Two funerals in a relatively short time. I understand there will be sadness and grieving, but at the same time a celebration of a life well lived. He was a very special person and will always have a very special place in my heart.
