John lived life to the full. He had a cheerful, caring personality. Will always remember him in his role as protector of younger brother, Dennis. My mum was John's aunty Eileen and his mother, Katie was my favourite aunty. My father, Noel, John's uncle, was born in Waihi. He was in Katie & Ron's wedding party. I'm pleased by sister, Judy and our daughter, Carol, were able to represent our family at his memorial as my wife and I were unable do so for health reasons. We admire John's wife, Carole, for her compassion, love and care given so unselfishly to him. Love to all the family.

Thinking of the many happy times growing up -oh what lovely memories with John and Dennis. I have always been very proud of John. He was always so caring and kind to me. A memory I will always treasure.
