Tim, I will always value your wise and calm counsel to me when we worked together. You were bold and brave when you supported my criticism of the recent labour government. You had a spine and you had guts! I love that about you. Enjoy heaven my friend !

Don’t think of him as gone his journey’s just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass way. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched … for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much

When Tim appears in my mind I see a a huge smile that lit up the room an infectios laugh, generosity and genuine warmth in abundance. I met Tim in 1987, I was young and newly married, he needed someone to help raise Sam and Toni, 5 and 7. Tim had a demanding corporate position at Barclay's. We were fellow Brits and we all got along so well, I had three years as Sam and Toni's Nanny and Tim as my employer. These are days I remember fondly snd always will. Tim you were a champion taken too soon, a wizard on the barbecue, I wish I had asked for your salad dressing recipe! When buying or selling a car you were first on my list. Thanks for the memories Tim. RIP xox

Rest in peace, Tim

So we have to say goodbye to my dear, big brother Tim, far too soon. He spent more of his life in New Zealand than his native England and as time went by he grew to love his new country and become a valued member of your community. He was interested in many aspects of life and enjoyed lots of activities which I am sure are well known to many of you. I know Tim and Stef enjoyed their lives in Kerikeri in a busy "retirement". Tim was a people person and had many friends and acquaintances. This was proved to me one day, in the 1970s, we took a five minute walk along a main street in Wellington which took far longer because we kept meeting people he knew who had to be introduced. Our younger son, Ned, reminded me this weekend of the time he met Tim in England and was given an All Blacks shirt which he wore to destruction. On receiving the shirt he regarded Tim as a "pretty cool dude" to have as an uncle. So we can remember with love and fondness this pretty cool dude. Tony and Elizabeth Crawley
