You know you've known someone for a long time when you can't pinpoint the moment you met - they've just always been in your life. That's how I feel about Christine and my Harvey/Tuoro Whanau. Always welcoming, always generous. As a kid hanging out with Nath, I didn't register all the things you did, especially to support my Mum - but looking back as a parent, I can see how it would have been such a relief for her to have a strong support network in you and Bruce just across the road, to lean on if needed. But you weren't there just when needed - you were there for all sorts of things like cooking masterclasses, family nights out for Pizza, trips to the far corners of the earth...like Howick!! You even continued to check in on Mum and Dad when in town, well after us kids had flown the nest. You so warmly welcomed my wife into your extended-Whanau and I feel blessed that she knew you too - we are all better off for having met you and I'd say that equates to a life well spent. A bit longer would have been nice but a catch-up with my Mum & Dad will no doubt be on the cards - Mum will have the kettle on and Dad will hopefully have done a Chicken Curry. Warriors playing this arvo. Conditions are perfect for a good catch-up. Arohanui.

Dear Aunty Christine ( Chris ) You were such a beautiful person, so kind ,welcoming and inviting. you had such a calming vibe, a infectious positive and happy outlook on life - doing good and being the best you could be. You were the glue there's one in every family that keeps everyone together, remembered the important things and made these days brighter, a simple birthday message, a birth or a passing of a loved one. You shared so much love and light with your presence And anyone who had the privilege to know you was blessed. Now you are home May God take care of you and protect all who you have loved over your lifetime. RIP Aunty Christine Love to all family friends ❤️ 💕
