To all the Leadbeater cousins Sorry we were overseas and could not make the service Andrew aka Handy Andy to us, before he was Ledge spent a lot of time with us when I was training He would come and stay & help me with the horses, then come to the races with us too I've caught up with him at the races since we moved North & we always had a good catch up We've been looking at old photos & remembering the happy family times we all had together after Sending love & condolences to all Julie & Robert

Julie & Robert Cargill

Today we honour such a gentle giant whose legacy of kindness and wisdom will inspire us all. His unwavering dedication to helping out those who need it on and off the job of being a barrier attendant. His warm welcome to anyone young and old and to make us feel safe in already what is known as one of the dangerous jobs in the world. Being a Jockey. His presence brought strength and comfort knowing that he’s got your back. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in those qualities and the knowledge that he shared amongst the current group of barrier attendants, who will carry on what he did proudly. We are forever grateful for the time we’ve had with him and will carry his memories in our hearts. Rest in peace big guy, Ledge. You will never be forgotten.
