“Can you play Thin Lizzy’s Still In Love With You?” That was always the request I would get from Mick whenever he turned up at one of my parties. Now that song will forever take on a new meaning! Mick and I both started work at Kiwi Dairies back in 91 and straight away we got talking about music and I thought to myself ‘This guy is the real deal!’ He knew what he was talking about unlike most. I’m going to miss our music talks, sharing a beer and you telling about your bloody horse! LOL Another Mick favourite was Paul Kelly’s How to Make Gravy. “I guess the brothers are driving down from Queensland and Stella's flying in from the coast They say it's gonna be a hundred degrees, even more maybe, but that won't stop the roast. Who's gonna make the gravy now? I bet it won't taste the same Just add flour, salt, a little red wine” See you further on up the road Brother!

Mick, 30 years ago I walked through your front door with my new friend Nicky. Always a calm, kind and gentle man, you would always have time for a chat and a laugh, and to make sure we weren't planning any mischief. (Of course we always were!) You were the rock for your family - always a calm and grounded presence to be relied on by your children whenever they needed you. You shaped and guided 5 strong, confident and caring children into adulthood - and for that you should feel so proud. I know the last few years have been tough on you but you bravely hung in there even when the odds were stacked against you. Go now in peace - see your mum and give Glenn a great big hug for me. Xxx
