James (Jim) Laurence Malone
30th May 1944 - 17th June 2024, aged 80.
Jim passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday the 17th June 2024.
Beloved husband of Gail for 51 years, devoted father and father-in-law of Robyn & Ian, Ross, Wendy & Darren, Craig & Cynthia, and loving Granddad of five.
Jim and I had a busy but fulfilling life together on the farm and also enjoyed lots of happy holidays together around the world and NZ during our retirement.
Jim was a top bloke, he was always so laid back and easy to be around, he never liked being the centre of attention but he always had a good yarn with whoever he was chatting with, he was the most gentle, kind and humble person, and a great dad to our kids.
Jim's wishes were for an immediate cremation. The Family will be holding a special gathering at home on the 27th July between 1:30pm - 3pm for anyone who would like to come pay their respects.

Hi Gail and family. Your family has been part of ours since I remember. Fond memories of going to your farm over the years, cubs, scouts etc. and also the huge part you played supporting mum and Cliff during the end of his life. Great Waihi family. RIP Jim

During his whole life I never saw him get angry not even annoyed. He was a good brother to all his other eight sibling to my knowledge. Jim had a great example to follow in our dad Joseph James Malone, whom we all loved dearly. Love and will miss you Jimmy
