Tributes

Rachael, you will be missed more than words can capture. I’ll never forget you teaching me how to carry twelve wine glasses in one hand, a skill you perfected during your hospitality days and shared with such pride. I’ll always treasure our little catchups, those simple moments that meant so much. Life hasn’t always been fair, but it’s the joyous times we shared that I’ll hold close to my heart. I loved cooking with you, visiting you in Matamata, and simply sitting together, talking about life. In some ways, I’m sad we didn’t get more time together. But I’m so grateful for the times we did. I always looked forward to visiting Nelson, catching up with you and Nigel at the cafe, and sharing laughs and stories. You brought warmth, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone around you. You’ll be remembered for your kindness, your spark, and the way you made people feel at home. Rest easy, Rachael. I’ll carry our memories with me always.
