I was blown away and saddened to hear of Frasers passing. He seemed so happy and healthy when I last saw him 21months ago (Sept 2022). I had A LOT to do with Fraser over the years, from when I first met him in Gisborne (radio) in 1982, to his subsequent moves to Napier, Wellington, and Hamilton. I stayed with him and Jenny many times, and enjoyed the conviviality, their hospitality, the fine meals, accompanied by ample quantities of beer, wine and port.( Fraser loves a port). We enjoyed watching sport together, particularly cricket, and would sometimes childishly turn down the TV volume and do our own commentary. He'd phone me from time to time if we'd been out if touch for awhile, although in recent years we havent had as much contact. I never got to visit him in Nelson, although he'd suggested on a few occassions I should. Fraser was personable, jovial, great company, and was a good man- totally genuine, kind, caring, and I saw a soft heart in him at times. He lived a good and fulfilling life. He'll always occupy a significant part of my memory. My thoughts are with Jenny, Steph,Hannah and families. I feel for you. Bye for now Mr Magee, Mr Wilson (Alan)

Condolences to Jenny and family on the passing of Fraser. Thanks very much to you, Jenny, and Fraser for making the effort to visit Raylene and I in Wellington last March - Although Fraser played it down, I suspected that things were not going too well for him. Fraser and I have crossed paths on many occasions throughout our lives starting in Souter St Mosgiel when we both had a milk run starting at some ungodly hour of the morning and we made porridge at his house before we stepped out into the cold. Then there was me as a Titus band supporter and those memorable summer trips to Lowburn where the boys would play in the pub. Sunday mornings at the Jone's house ("band practice") when I was supposed to be at church.. Occasional meet ups in Christchurch (my 21st), Wellington, Hamilton and a Nelson wedding of my dear friends Eric and Heather. Rest in peace mate - always the jovial friend. Tony and Raylene

So sorry to hear of Fraser's passing and my condolences to the family. I knew him at The Taieri High School and in the Barbershop Chorus in Hamilton where we both sang in the Bass section. I last spoke to Fraser at The Taieri School Reunion about 20 months ago. I always enjoyed his company and his humour. Trevor Watson
