It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dot, aged 79 years. Dot passed away peacefully at Tauranga Hospital after a short illness surrounded by her loved ones.
Dot connected with and impacted many people in her life, and she will be dearly missed by her husband Rusty, her children and their partners; Sharyn and Mario, Steve and Fiona, Craig and Sarah and her beloved grandchildren Izzy and Liam. She will also be dearly missed by her brother Neil and sister-in-law Kris, along with her wider family including the cuzzies and by her friends, with friendships that have spanned many decades, including close family friends The Redshaws.
Please join us in remembering and celebrating Dot’s life with a service to be held at Legacy Tauranga 383 Pyes Pa Road at 2pm on Tuesday the 2 of July.

It was such a privilege to meet Dot in Tauranga Maternity Annex in 1990 - the start of a special friendship with Dot & Rusty.. I treasure many precious memories of visits to their homes in New Zealand and their trips to UK - thanks to Sharyn living here for a while. Such a gifted lady in so many ways. Such a loss to many, especially Rusty, Sharyn, Steve, Craig and families May you know God's comfort , strength and peace in the days ahead.
I'm so sorry not to be with you all today. So many of the memories over the course of my life included Dorothy, and I can't quite believe she is gone. We will remember your abundant generosity, creativity and fun Dot, and we offer Rusty, Sharon, Craig and Steven our love as they make sense of your passing. Love Angela, Bernie, Marcus & Tessa
My sincere condolences to Rusty and all the family who are very much in my thoughts at this sad time. I have happy memories of our times together with Dot and Rusty on their visits to the UK and of their kindness and hospitality on our visits to New Zealand.
Aunty Dot. What can I say. So much more than an aunty to me. You were always there for me and my dad, and later my little far off family. Your kindness, smile, humour and love will be so missed. I will always remember your beautiful creativity and abundant skills which you have so generously shared with me over the years. Thank you. Thank you for everything. We'll miss you, lovely lady.
