Tributes

Dale was always a friendly, cheerful and obliging person. He was always fair and took care of people. He was a wonderful person to chat with. Had a good sense of humour and lived life to the full. I was sorry that I couldn't attend the funeral. My prayers and blessings are with you. Blessings Jenny.

Dale was such a patient guy. He volunteered to get me started on my first duck shooting season when I was 15. He lent me a single shot and off we went Saturday morning to an area unknown to me - all mangroves and estuary mud. That mud was hard work but I succeeded in getting some in my boots and right through the gun. Dale very patiently helped with a clean up of the gun and shooting continued. We headed home later with few ducks but more mud. He wasn’t hassled that we got some mud in his blue Monaro ute! A memorable time with my very patient older cousin.

We give thanks for Dale's life and the many happy memories of his kindness and hospitality to our family. The many shared meals and Christmases at Tomarata. Waterskiing, camping, farm stays for our boys and in more recent times, meeting up to pick oysters. We send our love to Dale's family. The struggle is over. Rest in Peace Dale. Love Lyall and Faye
