Kurt Tai-Rakena passed away suddenly on Monday 1st July 2024, aged 43.
Kurt will lay in state at 73 River Rd, Kawerau. On Wednesday 3rd of July at 10am, the family will begin the Journey to Te Kaharoa Marae, 62 Orongo Rd, Waitetuna, leaving Kawerau at midday where Kurt will lay for 1 night. On Thursday 4th July, 11am Kurt will be laid to rest with his mother and sister at Aramiro Urupa. Poroporoake will be held on Tuesday at 7pm.
