COMISKEY, Zandra: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zandra on Tuesday 2nd July 2024, aged 65 years. Beloved wife of John, cherished Mum of Billie, Denholm, and Taina. Loved step-mum of Robyn and Valerie. So very adored Grandma to Mason. Treasured sister of Lynette, Peter and Kirsten. Coolest Aunty ever and great friend to many. Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was a kind, generous pillar of strength, she will be sadly missed and never forgotten. A service for Zandra will be held at William Cotton & Sons Chapel, 29 Beattie Street, Feilding on Monday 8 July 2024 at 10am followed by private cremation. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed at the top of this page.

Zandra and my brother Bob were to have been married on our Mum's birthday, 30th May 1987, but it wasn't to be. I was so happy to know Zandra had found happiness again with John, then heard with delight the doctor's statement was incorrect: she could have children! She has left you much too soon, but left you with so many wonderful memories, so much love. John, Billie and Denholm - I haven't had a chance to meet you but I wish you all my love and deepest sympathy.
I met Zandra a couple of times while visiting NZ from Oz with my partner, Derek, who is a life long friend of Zandra and John. We had a wonderful afternoon together only a few short weeks ago and I cant believe she is gone. She was funny and beautiful and my heart goes out to John and family. A terrible loss, she was one of a kind. RIP dear Zandra.
I'm a cousin of Zandra and have known her since we were small children. I have lived in Christchurch all my life so as kids we only met when our families spent holidays together. We remained in touch every few years so when we were adults. Zandra was always a large as life person... in a good way of course.... Our meetings were always loud, fun and interesting. About 5 years ago Zandra and John rocked up on their motor bikes for a visit, it was a quick visit but they were always welcome. I will miss our occasional meetings and know family and friends will have a big hole in their life without lovely Zandra there gone but never forgotten Love to family from Phillippa & Lindsay
Kia ora I got to meet Billie beautiful Māmā at our graduation and what a beautiful wahine she was! For as long as I have known Billie she has spoken of whānau as the pillar of her being so I know she will be very broken at this time! I will be attending her tangi to support Billie and love on her like she has on me and my kids forever! Sending all our love to Zandar and family ❤️
I never met Zandra, but I worked with her daughter Billie who is just one of the most beautiful people inside and out. I can only imagine that Zandra must have been an incredible human to have raised such a vivacious, passionate, talented, kind and friendly daughter. People don't just exist that way, they are nurtured into that by loving parents. Zandra will no doubt be so missed by her family - my heart absolutely goes out to you all. She was gone way too soon.
