To the Family Our Deepest Sympathy Nancy (nee Cullen) & Richard Stewart
RIP Ross It was great knowing you; we had some fun times with you. Thank you for the memories Allan Jones & Maureen Casey ASHBURTON (formally of GORE)
Although I’ve known cousin Ross for almost all of my life, I came to know him best in the last seven or so years. These were challenging years for Ross and it was a privilege to be on hand to visit during a long hospital stay and to chat with him on the phone in the years following, when he had so many losses to come to terms with. We talked about our gardens; set the world to right, shared how families were doing and of course the awful sadness of the passing of Auntie Aileen. And later his cancer diagnosis. There were times when his sadness seemed overwhelming, but he was stoic and resolved to make the best of things. His joy came from Neil and Lynley and families and their response to helping him face and accept that he was not going to get better. I am so proud of him. I will miss our chats. But I feel a sense of deep gratitude that I came to know cousin Ross in the last years of his life. Rest in peace Ross. Love Susan
Very sad news to read of Ross’s passing. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Our family had many trips to the family farm at Brydon and lots of adventures with Ross, Lynley and Neil. Mum (Gwenda) often caught up with Ross on her many visits to Aileen when they moved to Gore. We appreciated the odd jobs Ross did for mum over the years. Jan, Jeff, David, John and Jillian (Mckenzie)
RIP Ross, thinking of the family at this very sad time. We all have very fond memories of Ross and our time at Brydon. Ross taught all to drive the gear stick ute, showed us (with Doug) how to drink warm milk straight from a cow (yuck), was there to show us lambing and how to measure a horse with our hands. Lots of love to all Lisa, Sandra and Kathryn (nee Kingsland)
