Funeral service held at St James Anglican Church
To dear Grace, our last time with you was just over a year ago sharing a dim sum lunch together and we remember so clearly your kindness and ease of being. We pray you pass forward into light with equal measures of peace and happiness. With all our love and joyful thoughts, L & D xxxxx
I am so glad I met Grace, my distant relative. She was an inspiration a warm wonderful human being. We’ll miss her though we will have many, many happy memories to supplant the great loss we currently feel. RIP.
We are so sorry to miss the service. So often one goes to funerals without really knowing too much about the person. Karen and I feel privileged to have known Grace and heard so many stories of the last 100 years that went before today. We like to remember her as she single handedly corralled her precious cattle. How she roared up our drive driving the Kombi with no power steering. How she proudly showed me her collection of powder pistols. How she waved at me furiously from her car as I cycled back home to Edmonds Road. How she took care of her younger sister. How she loved her Boxer Billy and how she told us about her time as a nurse during the war and her early days on the farm. We have missed this feisty lady since she left Kerikeri and now fondly farewell her on her final journey. Look out to wherever that is…… Grace is coming!!
