We had some laughs. It started wayyyyyyyu before the OE, when you were the tender age of 19. Our families connected when we were kids. It grew and eventuated to life long memories. There are some stories to tell. We pretended we were a couple to get a couples job and jumped on the bed as if we we’ll, you remember. We also caused an accident in Spain as we looked the wrong way for traffic and proceeded to act like it wasn’t us who cases the pile up. We loved working on the Isle of Iona, Scotland soooo much, we kept going back. We laughed hard and danced harder. We sung songs and we missed family together. We came back to NZ separately but continued to live together. Until you moved on too the next exciting phase of your life when aviation called your name. I even remember your speech that got you in. Always the creative and the original. Your talent had no bounds and I’m glad I got to see it. Lesley, although it has been over a year, I often think of you. Your family miss you dearly. I miss you. You’re an asshole but I love you. Sprinkle fairy dust every so often. Xxx Ps….. The Sistas send their love too Pss…. Give hugs to Spotty and Mimi
Les has such a special soul. I only knew Les for a year, but the impact he left behind on this earth is beautiful. You could see from all of the love that surrounded him from the day of his service, that he created so much joy, laughter, love and inspirstion in other people's lives. To leave behind a legacy like he has is something truly incredible. I miss you Les, everyone does. I hope you're at a beach somewhere soaking up the sun ☀️ Sending all my love and kindness to anyone reading this. You are so loved xx
Les x No words.... We've lost a spectacular human being. Your ability to make me, and everyone else, feel like the most important person in the room never went unnoticed. You were.... Are..... And always will be amazing.... Kia kaha... The noise is gone. Now you can rest... Nxx
Dear Les. I’m so so sad to be writing this. I so wish we had stayed in touch. My childhood memories are better because you are in them. You were my first boyfriend and I was your first girlfriend (maybe only) XX. Every memory is a good one. All the dances we made up to the Whitney songs. Sorry I was too shy to ever preform them. Your farewell was beautiful. You have made so many lives happier and obviously continued to be a light. I wont say goodbye. I will see you again. Night for now xx
Les I will forever remember your cheeky smile as you used to try and keep up with Ren and I as we did our best to ditch you as old siblings often do! I have loved watching your adventures on FB over the years and seeing your love of life and the light you bring to all and every thing you do. Chris, Ren, Bub and whanau much love to you all Arohanui ❤️❤️
My heart and deepest condolences goes to all of Les's family, close friends and lived ones. I had the privilege of training with Les at Air New Zealand. What a wonderful, bright, funny star he was in our class. Fly high beautiful man with the angels ♥️
