So sorry to hear about Karen's passing. She and I were colleagues in the Havelock North GS Maths Department for the year 2005. She was an excellent work colleague and a lovely friend to me and my wife, Ann. After we returned to UK, she and Mark visited us here in North Wales and we have kept in touch regularly ever since. Much love to Mark and the family. May Karen rest in peace.
Karen was a colleague at Iona College. She was a thoughtful and caring person with a most wonderful ability to see the joy and humor in situations. She always looked for the best. My eldest daughter was taught by Karen at HNHS prior to her working at Iona. She always was positive and I still remember her lovely kind thoughts about our daughter. A true professional who many have been fortunate to receive her guidance. Her home was always welcoming and she had a most caring manner that put others at ease .
Sad to hear of Karen’s illness and passing. I haven’t seen her for about a year. I taught Maths with Karen at Iona College in the 2010’s. She was such a thoughtful person and wanted the best for her students. She had a warm personality, sense of humour & was hospitable and caring. Karen was very family focused and was often going to see her son.
I got to no Karen as I visited from australia to see her brother Kerry and my sister regularly. Karen lived a full life. She travelled, was still teaching, and was a independent person, who loved and was proud of her son Mark very much. RIP Karen you will be missed Helen🌸
