Barry will be so dearly missed. He was the kind of person everyone would like as a friend or family member. He was kind, generous, supportive, and always there to lend a helping hand. He was so versatile, whether fixing, building, or sharing his depth of knowledge. He was always interesting, and someone you loved to chat with on any occasion. Congenial, and warm hearted, we appreciated his sense of humour and the balance he brought to any dialogue. He was well loved by family and friends alike. He will be forever cherished within our family circle (NZ and Canadian).

Barry was my much loved and idolised big brother. Barry would sweep in from far-flung lands without warning bringing great joy and excitement to all our family and friends. I will miss him greatly.
