I am very sad to hear the passing of our dear former colleague Damien. His face and voice are so vivid as I am typing down this message. There are so many funny and happy memories about Damien during our time at Visual tech, Auckland. Damien was a very caring friend and messaged me a few times after the passing of my husband and his colleague Vishu. So much has changed in the last two decades and we are all scattered all over the world, but we always wished that our former colleagues were happy and healthy. Hearing of his passing came to me as shocking news. As a person who has lost my dear ones so early and so suddenly, I have learned to accept the norms of this transient life.
