Donna, I am truly sorry I am only now hearing about the loss of Don. You came into my life through the Manaia Golf Club at a time that was a challenge for me. I always loved our deep discussions and our wondering golf balls. Meeting Don was so special. He asked me all about my family and sent me home with veges. The next time I dropped in he remembered my name and my husband and kids names. For someone like me who can meet someone several times to remember their name it was so special. Have peace Don.
Thank you for 21 years of great friendship shared.we cherish the time he spent with us. His memory will live on in the stories we share and the warmth of our hearts. Our love to you Donna.
Goodbye my sweet friend who showed us all how to be just that, a good friend. We will look after Donna for you.
Thoughts are with you Donna and family, at this sad time. Don was a courageous guy, and I enjoyed meeting you both a few years ago, chatting and seeing your lovely garden. Rest in Peace Don
Your presence in our lives was a blessing, Though you have left this world, I find comfort knowing you are now at peace with our Heavenly Father. The joy and kindness you shared with everyone will always be remembered. In God's eternal embrace, you are free from pain and sorrow. I pray for strength and comfort for your loved ones. Until we meet again, may you swim in the rivers of God's grace and love. In Christ's love ❤️ 🙏
Don was a dear friend for 23 years. We pioneered through our lives in NZ together along many paths, including dairy farming and Agribusiness sales. He was always there as a listening ear with sound advice, loyal, wise, smart, and dedicated to whatever he put his hand too. He was a craftsman across several aspects of life, not just his carpentry, where he made beautiful furniture. Don’s dedication as a husband to his beloved Donna was evidenced by his determination to battle cancer over 16 years. We will miss you dearly good friend but will see you again when we meet in our eternal home. Michael and Jackie Aveling
Don was a kind, gentle, loving man, and master gardener- I could not have picked a better partner for my dear friend Donna to travel through life with-RIP now Don-you will be dearly missed on this earth
You could have no better friend than Don. Such an outgoing person and fiercely loyal to his family, friends, spiritual belief and world views. I've never met anyone else who could strike up and carry on a conversation with a total stranger anywhere and anytime. He battled his illnesses with such courage and grace and never lost his positive attitude. The world has lost a truly good person and I've lost a good friend.
So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I enjoyed many chats with him during haircuts. RIP Don
