We are so sorry we couldn't be there today to join in the beautiful celebration of Whaea Sue's life. I wish I had had the chance the get to know her better as going by the stories told today (watched from online), I think we would have gotten along famously. Our boys will miss Sue's presence, as will the school as a whole. Our sincerest condolences to Mark and the extended whanau/friends.

Sue, it's always hard to start, you've impacted so many lives. So many memories I have of scouts, and camps. Like the one time you had to keep telling us off because we were seeking around and wouldn't go to sleep. You will be truly missed by everyone you have touched with your love. Sending our love to your family Gubbins family

In loving memory of Sue, an exceptional person and more importantly a great friend. I will cherish our time together living and working in Bahrain. Through thick and thin, Sue was always a ray of positivity and someone who always made time for you. Our love of wine and cheese saw us spend many evenings together, sampling all we could find. I feel lucky to have got the chance to know both Sue and Mark and will cherish our time together, both in work and socially. Rest in peace my friend ❤️

Sue was a wonderful woman. Fiercely dedicated to her position in our school, working tirelessly for the benefit of the little people. She was a fantastic cook, a fabulous balance for Mark and an amazing person through and through. We are so saddened. Our hearts break for Mark, her children and grandchildren. We are blessed to have known and loved you. Go n-éirí leat i síocháin. Le grá agus brónach. Xx

Mark and Sue were the first people I met in Riyadh when I landed there. Little did I know the life changing impact they would have on me. From excellent leadership and guidance at school to long chats at night. The many games of "May I" and tennis. The hilarious adventures looking for shark's teeth and the tree of life, to name a few. Watching rugby games together, even though we were shouting for different teams. The incredible meals cooked by Sue. To the privilege of meeting many family members when we visited New Zealand last year and having personal guides to Tua Tua hunting, wonderful sights seeing and days in Rotorua. Sue's kind words and deeds, loving nature shone through in all these activities. Sue is and will be missed every day. Thank you for being my friend
