So sad to learn of Roy-boy's passing, we met during our music touring careers in the late 70's. Roy went from a trusted co-worker to a firm friend very quickly. We adventured across Europe and were frequently found rescuing each other from various misadventures! We lost touch during the eighties when I moved to the States and Roy moved to New Zealand, but happily reconnected a few years ago on a visit to New Zealand. I will always have great memories of our times together! My condolences to his family.

I'm smiling with tears in my eyes ... So many golden memories of touring together all over the UK... of being neighbours in Surrey ... Meeting your parents and friends in Brummie ... and The Pub!!!... Jumping for joy when we both became dad's for the first time... and The Pub!!!... Life took us in separate directions. Last time we met was in Milan at a music festival we were both on, and we carried on laughing without missing a beat. We're bonded by the special time we spent together. Condolences to ALL your family and loved ones ... I'm blessed to have known you, Roy Lemon. Sail on your kind, beautiful spirit. Jimmy Helms

Roy.....we didn't spend enough time together? Life is fill of regrets but nz is an awful long way from England. We are brothers in law god help us. We are both brummie having been born in birmingham and your folks were so proud of you. I remember you coming to Wales to help me with some building work such a long time ago. At a place named Llanfyllin you possessed a calm relaxed outgoing character. I was lucky to.meet both vicky andl Steven at the Billesley Manor Stratford-upon-Avon at jos wedding which was a lovely day with fireworks. Going to the dome in birmingham was a highlight for us all when we were able to meet jimmy helms who made us an offer he just couldn't refuse. You are a great guy Roy may you rest in peace. Love from all of our family.

My dearest Roy, I was so sorry to hear of your passing. Aunty Nora rang and informed me. This is a sad day indeed. It has been many years since we last met at a pub nr Birmingham. As ever you were your ever joyful and naughty self and I got a big hug from you. I will never forget you collecting me and my friend Jackie from my mum’s house and taking us, to see Jimmy Helms in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, you were working with him on his tour. What an unbelievable night that was. And another of my memories was seeing ELO in Birmingham (twice) and getting to meet them all too. Fly high lovely man . You will be missed. Deepest condolences to Ines and the rest of your family, SHARON (was PITT) AND TERRY JAMES

Our dear friend Roy. You had to do things your way didn't you?! You leave us with many happy memories to treasure and lots of laughs to recall. You are now a shining star - but we would have preferred you to have stayed with us all instead. Love and hugs to Ines, family and friends. Sincere apologies that we can't share all our lovely memories together on the 26th. Christine and Gummy
