Funeral service held at St Joseph's Catholic Church
Condolences to all the family I’m so sorry to hear of Jacks passing. Thinking of you all. RIP Jack.
Distinguished in every way with an infectious smile. Rest in Love Uncle Jack 💜
Remembering Jack as a good friend, a team mate in rugby and basketball and a Shareholder along with Mike, Henry, Bob, Bruce & myself in a bus called Sloopy and recalling one day at the Hawera Municipal baths, Jack stubbed his toe on a ladder - his toe was ok but his nose bled. Remembering parties at his parents home (when they weren't home), Friday nights and Saturday mornings before rugby in the Billiard Rooms on Union Street and underage drinking at the Egmont Hotel. When we had the last basketball game of the night Jack would take his pyjamas along, play the game, have a shower & change into his pyjamas to wear home. About 12 years ago we had a reunion at Mokau, whitebaiting, with two teams competing for the best catch, Jack, Mike & Thomas (The Brown Boys) Kevin, Bruce, Bob & myself (The White Boys) the catches were small but the company was great. Unfortunately we're not able to be at Jack's funeral service but feel sure Ruth & their families will pay him well deserved tributes. It has been a privilege to be Jack's friend. Will miss you mate Ray & Jeanette Davidson
RIP Jack, you were a remarkable gentleman, always with a smile and sending our love to you all.
Rest in love uncle Jack.
