Dave Joined Okoroire Golf Club mid 1990s Held various positions one of which was Vet Convenor where he represented the Okoroire Golf Club re Waikato Vets for 5 years from 2014 to 2019 Dave scored a 'Hole in One' in 2003 on the par 3 5th Hole @ Okoroire Captained Okoroire Golf Club Teams that won the Waikato Veteran Festival of Golf in 2009 along with Phil Moore, Jim Thomas & Basil Cody and in 2018 with Bill Oliver, Steve Becker, Basil Cody & Alex Pool Dave recorded 1313 rounds of Golf as per the electronic system but no doubt there would have been many more prior to and was on a handicap index of 40.4 (which would've had him playing off a course hcp of 33) when he finished playing at the Okoroire Golf Club....Dave came across as a Grumpy bugger but was a gentle soul at heart, he was a stickler for the 'Rules' and will always be remembered for his dry sense of humour by the Members of the Okoroire Golf Club...R.I.P Dave
