It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Ross. Our family connection with the Corrigan family spans three generations. Our dealings with Ross will be remembered with affection. His dignity, knowledge and memory and quiet demenour, a true gentleman.
Sincerest Sympathy to all the Corrigan Family on the passing of Ross. A very knowledgeable and lovely man and it was great sitting down talking to him and hearing his history etc. Bev & Andy Davy Jenny & Val Ditchfield ( Eric Taylor's daughter.} Hugh & Carol Davy, Auckland
We played together as kids but as life had it, I moved to Australia. Returning in 2015 and staying at the Hawera Club with my nephew Alan Drake, I was fortunate to join Ross on many occasions at the clubs Friday night dinners. He was a walking history book. His knowledge was vast on so many topics and it is with great sadness I have learnt of his passing. Ross will be a major loss to his family and the community in general. I am so pleased to have spent time with him in our latter years. I myself turn 88 next month. My condolences to you, the family.
I send my sympathy to the Corrigan family. Ross was always a knowledgeable farmer who had lots of information in his famous notebook. He always knew what any of his animals had been treated with, by who and when. Ross knew about heaps of other topics too.
Dear Kirsten, Andrew, and the wider Corrigan family, My deepest sympathies thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. A mighty totara has truely fallen. Ross will be missed hugely by us all and will have left everlasting memories with us all. We will all remember a life so very well lived. Rest In Peace Ross David McCarthy
Our heartfelt condolences to you all. We will remember Ross for his wisdom and knowledge in so many areas. An amazing man to sit and chat with. A true gentleman who will be sadly missed.
To the Corrigan family, thinking of you. Ross was the first face I saw when coming into the church to get married to William. Later on, when we were sitting behind him in church, young James had a fascination with his white hair. I always got there first, otherwise Ross might've had a surprise with a small child around his neck. We'll miss him.
It is with much sadness we acknowledge the passing of Ross. Ross was a retired Justice of the Peace whose passion for serving the community extended well beyond his ministerial duties as a JP. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word, who had a wealth of knowledge over an incredible range of topics. Conversations with Ross were always vast and varied, and those that sought his opinion were always given thoughtful and considered responses. As a JP he was a loyal and dedicated member of our Association and we will greatly miss his presence at our upcoming AGM. Thank you Ross for your loyal service to your community for so many years, and thank you to Kirsten and Andrew and his greater family for sharing him with us. The community was much the richer for it. The South Taranaki Justices of the Peace Association Inc.
