Rest in peace beautiful lady xxxxx
My mother Pat, twin with Pam, was proud of being a Wadsworth. Her sister Rona had Geraldine when mum was 11 years old. In many ways they grew up along side each other. Mum joked that she was an auntie before she was born as she had 13 siblings. Uncle Gerald gave Pat her first job working in the store at Tadmor near Tapawera. Geraldine knew mum well and was one of her bridesmaids when mum married dad (Jock) who was the brother of Bill Clemens the postmaster at Tadmor. Bill had married Geraldine's auntie Hilda (Pidge). When we visited for Christmas and New Year celebrations Geraldine would let my cousin Katherine and me stay with her which was always fun. Geraldine was very kind when mum later died at only 68. Her community service to netball was legendary and her love of family deeply from the heart. It is wonderful to have deep fond memories of a wonderful woman in the tradition of rural born women in Aotearoa New Zealand.
My sincere condolences to Geraldine's family. A wonderful woman.
