We take a moment to honour an extraordinary person—Maureen, or Granny, as her beloved grandchildren affectionately called her. She was more than just a kind friend, mother, and grandmother; she embodied warmth and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Nicole and I cherish the shared role we had as grandparents to our dear grandchildren, Aoibheann and Lucie, creating an everlasting bond with you that will transcend time. We thank you for that. As we reflect on your remarkable legacy, we find comfort in knowing that your spirit will continue to shine in the lives of those you touched. Your laughter and kindness will always brighten our family gatherings in the years to come. Thank you, Maureen, for being such an important part of our lives. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, as your journey through life comes to its end. Your new path lies ahead with the rest and peace you so richly deserve. John awaits you along with all your loved ones who have gone before. As the Irish say, may the road rise up to meet you. Until we meet again.

To all the McCalman family So sorry to hear of your loss. Lovely memories of a kind, gentle lady from St Joseph's parish, Waitara, 50 years ago, who was a comfort to my family when my Dad suddenly died in 1974. And later as a neighbour on Beach Street, and parishioner at Our Lady Help of Christians, who read at mass. Fond memories of your Dad also - (the Water Tech man as we called him). Treasure the memories deep in your heart. RIP Rosie Steiner-Fastier
