TOWNSEND, Dorothy Gertrude (nee Shannon) (formerly of Alexandra, Christchurch, Rangiora and Waikouaiti) –At Windsor Park Care Home, Gore on Sunday, August 4, 2024, aged 93 years.
                                          ‘After a courageous life – Peace at last’
Dearly loved wife of the late “Digger”, and cherished partner of the late Don Williamson and family.  Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Karl and Suzette, Richard and Karen, Kathleen and Rodney, much loved Nana of Peter, Toni, and Michael; James and Kate, loved great grandmother of Sam, Adam, Annabel, Harry, and Lexi.  Loved sister and sister-in-law of Fred* and Lorraine* Shannon, Lylla* and Stuart* Bain, Ramsey* Townsend and Dawn Green, and loved auntie of all her nieces and nephews.  A private family service has been held.
