Also known as "Margaret Claire"
7 September 1930 – 5 August 2024
Born September 07, 1930. Passed away on August 05, 2024.
A little shining light has dimmed and gone from the earth. Mum, Margot, Nanny, Babe and Mate passed away peacefully.
Margot was loved by all who knew her. A caring, bright, warm and loving Daughter, Mother, Wife, Nanny, Sister, Niece, Auntie, Cousin and a great friend to so many.
She lived an extraordinary and long life filled with art, music, theatre, learning, TRAVEL, church, and a deep dedication to serving her community.
She was an activist, a radical of sorts, a passionate believer and a supporter of social causes and justice for all. She travelled the world by ship when "young ladies" stayed at home.
She ignited the love of the arts in so many. She supported, led and vested so much in the numerous community associations she gave her time freely to.
She would light up a room with her smile, laughter and comic timing. Even in her declining years with dementia, her comic observations were wonderful!
She has left us now as a vessel but will remain with us forever in spirit.
She made us all feel good, safe, warm and loved.
Margot would not want us to be sad but rather leave us happy and joyful, acting with compassion and kindness to one another.
I love you Mum…
