Tributes

Fond memories of Marjorie saw her the last time she was in the UK. My mother use to tell us about her early life in the uk,and then kept us informed of how she was doing in NZ from the letters. RIP Marjorie.

I went to Australia in 2018 and stopped off to see Marjorie for the 11/4 to 13/4.Originally I booked the Puhoi Pub because I didn’t want to be a nuisance. When I told her she said you are staying with me. No argument I cancelled the pub moved in and we had a great time. She was so sharp we had good chats about the family’s and she Told me some great stories about the early days. Her memory was Superb.l On my last night we had a meal in the pub with Berny Simon and Daughter. So sad just memories but good ones.

Auntie Madge a truly amazing person. Sarah and I shared such fantastic times on our visits seeing you in NZ. To hear her say “The kids are home”. I was 58 at the time. To hear her at 4am in the morning skipping and singing as she went from her bedroom to the kitchen to make her first cuppa of the day. Always smiling with lots of stories to tell. Now it’s your turn to join friends and family on your next journey. A pleasure to call you my Aunt. God bless xx

Fondest memories of a wonderful, inspirational lady. Kind, thoughtful, funny and strong. Full of life. Often many miles away but never ever forgotten, always in our hearts. Always there to support, offering wise and wonderful words. Thank you for everything you taught me - a love of the written and spoken word, of photography and the natural world. Rest in peace my darling lady.

I’m so pleased I had the chance to spend quality time with the loveliest, kindest and craziest lady ever, when we visited New Zealand. She taught me to live life to the full and I showed her the magic of Spotify, playing every song she could think of and singing at the top of our voices in the kitchen. Rest in Peace Auntie Marjorie and enjoy causing havoc with the angels ❤️
