I felt very privileged to have met you Mr Jones (Paul). On your travels “up North” (being Darwin, Australia). You found the time to meet my husband and I at a little cafeteria in Coolalinga. As soon as I saw you walking our way I absolutely knew who you were. The resemblances were uncanny and brought a smile to my face instantly as I knew who you were. That time spent together was so pleasantly and memorable. Thank you x Fly high with peace and love in the wind of the heavens.
Paul , Norm was so grateful to have you on board he appreciated your dedication and friendship. May you rest in peace ! X Jo and family
What a fitting memorial today for a deserving man. Margaret my thoughts and love are with you in the days that lie ahead when family have headed back to their homes. Blessed are they who mourn for they will be comforted. Underneath are the everlasting arms. My love, hugs and thoughts as always. Susan
My Daddy. I've already said it all. Today was a lot. How I'll miss you! See you when I'm looking at you. Love you forever and always xo
We had many wonderful times with you and Margaret Paul, around the caravan in Bribie mainly. Denise was there most of the times too and we so enjoyed your company. Quiet and gentle, always telling entertaining stories. You will be sadly missed.
Uncle Paul was someone who could light up a room with his smile and laughter. He had a way of making everyone around him feel at ease and full of joy. I’ll always remember the exotic treats he’d bring when visiting from Australia – and still wonder how he managed to get fresh pineapples past New Zealand customs! When I first moved to Queensland, the weekends I spent staying with him made all the difference. His warmth, humour, and generosity made me feel at home. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and the reminder to never hold back a smile.
Paul, I will miss you too. Always encouraging, fun, kind and thoughtful. Thank you for accepting me and for all the times I could land at your place. I will also look out for Ma best I can. To Margaret (Ma), John, Michael and family.. big hugs. And to Pauls daughters and wider family, loving thoughts to you as well. God bless and be near to all. Love, Chrissy.
What a man! He had a wonderful life with you Aunty Marg and loved you very much. Always a kind word and laughter whenever we met up. Thinking of you with lots of love, Mel xx
Paul was a wonderful uncle, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He touched the lives of so many with his warmth, kindness and humour. From our family to his, we will always remember him with love and gratitude. His legacy lives on in the people he loved most, and the memories we were lucky enough to share with him. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Lots of love, Pauline, Andrew, Amanda, Maddison & Mikaela
Paul will be sadly missed and his absence felt deeply by many but the joy he brought will always keep us company. Great memories of a wonderful neighbour, cheeky larrikin and such a gentleman. Blessed to have known him. Love Lois
We sadly miss our dear friend and ex-neighbour who had a very quick wit and endless stories that kept us entertained. Paul was a true gentleman and always willing to lend a hand. We miss you. Love Dawn and Deanne Gemlife Sunshine Coast
When I think of Grandad, I think of a man who was always happy and full of adventure. He was a great engineer, a true gentleman, and a wonderful storyteller. I could sit and listen to his stories about all of his trips and the amazing things he’d did for hours on end. He had a way of making every story feel like an adventure. One of my favorite memories is from when he had his boat on the Gold Coast. My cousin Ashleigh and I were just kids, and we were so excited to be out on the water with Grandad. We were standing on the bow of the boat, and as we went over the wake, we would just scream "Hallelujah!" as loud as we could. We thought it was the funniest thing in the world, and I remember Grandad laughing along with us. He always made every moment fun. He was a hero to all of us - his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He never judged anyone and always looked for the good in people. One of the most important lessons he taught me was to always make the most of life. He lived that advice every single day, and I am so grateful for his example. Grandad, you were one of the greatest men I have ever known. I will make sure your stories and memory live on. Thank you for everything. I will never forget you. We love you Grandad.
