Funeral service held at Saint Peters in the City
Pete will always be remembered with fondness. He married my mum Shirley O'Connor and made her very happy. He welcomed her children, Myself, Carole and Wendy into his life and was a steady influence on everyone's lives. He welcomed and treated our children from Shirley's side ( Dylan, Sheridyn, Patch, Aaron, & Chelsea as his own grandchildren as well. After mum died we still managed to pop in and see poppa, and until the last few years he would often turn up at out home for afternoon tea, and a quick catchup. He will be missed.
Pete, it is a privilege for us that you became part of our lives and our family in the early 1990’s when you met and then married mum, Shirley O’Connor. Your passion for the outdoors was instilled into mum. She would rave about the adventures you took together and planned for the future, until her illness. You have now joined mum in heaven and I am sure you will have great heavenly adventures together. I will always remember you as a true gentleman with a wry sense of humour. One of a kind. Rest in peace Pete. You will be missed.
