Condolences to all the family. We transported livestock to and from the Ngongotaha Saleyards, also to freezing works throughout the North Island that Doug had arranged for Farmers in the Central Plateau area, during his time with Dalgety and WNMA. Doug was always Professional, Efficient, and a pleasure to work with. When the work was done, he also enjoyed a beer and a laugh. Sorry cannot be at Dougs Memorial Service. John Moore

Worked together at wrightson nma ltd and then wrightson dalgety in the 1980s in Rotorua me as a young agent and Doug as a senior agent . We had many laughs and days of fun and work at the Ngongotaha Saleyards and afterwards celebrating another great sale . Doug was a great auctioneer and was proud of the efforts he put in to get the best prices possible for his clients RIP old mate

Played rugby together in late 1960's... As Rotorua farmers we witnessed Doug in action at Ngongtaha Saleyards. As an auctioneer, he did his utmost to extract value for his vendors. In recent times Marie would see Doug on grocery duties in PaknSave, or walking in Redwoods. RIP Doug...

Doug, I am going to miss you so much but have so many special moments to remember you by! I will be raising a glass tonight sitting in the lazy boy watching the All Black’s! A great man, father and friend always.

I can't really put into words the loss I feel Dad, but I know you wouldn't want me or anyone else to feel sad for too long. There have been loads of stories shared this past week about you, lots of laughs and plenty of tears. Miss the heck out of you Dad. But am comforted that you are at peace with Mum and your family. Love you x

Doug was my parent's stock agent for many years and he did a great job. Doug passed the same day as my Dad Bill Cleghorn. Our thoughts are with you all as we all go through life without them both.
