Dear Margaret, Please accept my condolences on the death of Denys. I am very sorry that I cannot attend his funeral on Sunday as I am out of Auckland. I have many happy memories of Denys through O’Rorke reunions, his work at the University through KRTA, and through our friendship with the Tisdall family. I would have liked to be there, he was a lovely guy, he was a great mentor and friend when I joined KRTA, we had lots of laughs. He was mainly involved with U of A projects and he was an expert at handling the uni bureaucracy and the fragile egos that went with it. We shared a mutual love for the kiwiness of Peter Cape songs. I’ll remember his hooting laugh for ever!
