You played a big part in being the glue and a calming effect towards the AIM / HICKEY family and we the VAILAHI family also were privileged to be part of it too. We all appreciated the loving qualities you shared with us and will definitely miss your hospitality with that infectious warm smile you carry and wear towards us all the time. What a guy! I’ll always have the fondest memories of Greg in childhood as he watched Chelsea and I run around on all the soccer fields, helped get our fishing gear ready and always in for a round of backyard cricket. His humour and kindness will always live on. Lay in peace Greg, a bloody good innings. Sending the most heartfelt warmth & hugs to Chelsea and family. Love always, Hannah & the Bromley family 🩵

Having known Greg for many decades, (since teacher's College days) - Greg was one of the last of the beautiful people...He is remembered for his friendship, genuine kindness, warm sense of humour and easy going manner. Rest in Peace, dear Greg. You are sadly missed.
Greg, Thanks for the memories, you were such a good bugger, salt of the earth and a gentleman to boot. Never a bad word to be said about another person. Will always remember and cherish our catch ups, the visits and chats and we will never be able to have KFC again, without thinking of you. Rest in peace Much aroha Clint and Karen

Dear Greg’s family, our deepest sympathy at the loss of such a great guy. My Dads favourite cuzzy and Greg was always there for Mum after Dad passed. We have great memories of you popping into Eltham Road for a beer or 3, always helping out with jobs and your guitar duet with Marty at Dads send off. May you rest in peace. Your kindness and smile will be so missed. Love Megs Marty and the girls. X
Dear Peter, Gabrielle, Christine, I was so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. Such a lovely guy. I remember him taking on a job at a young age to support your family, then heading back into education. It took two strength of character to go back to school older than his classmates. Thinking of you all, and of course his partner and children. Wth love, Ailsa
A fantastic dad to Julian and Chelsea. We have heard many tales of Greg over the years. Your memory will live on through your children and grandchildren who will miss you dearly. Rest in Peace, Greg.
Greg - why have you left us all- You, a best mate, friend, mentor, a kind, understanding teacher. Old school, someone who would help everyone. A skilled builder. Working with Greg both professionally and personally, I was continually amazed at his skill and knowledge. So saddened we couldn't be there to send you off. ❤️ Hey Mike plane that edge please, keep the line of nails straight .. Yeah ok Greg my pleasure mate. He was always relaxed, genuine and very caring. One can see this in his beautiful familly. Man I so miss him. He has done so much for us and others from often the kindness of his heart- thats the sort of bloke he was. On my wedding day, an hour before the ceremony he said - Look Mike one row to finish the paving stones - You go and have a shower etc- I'll finish off and be ready in time ... What a bloke. He is one guy who will be missed by so many people. Each time we sit and swing on our seat up the top of the section we shall always be thinking of you. I shall have a beer to toast such a lovely guy. Miss you. Love you Mike and Carolyn Crow
I’m very sad to learn of Greg’s passing. I only have the fondest memories of my time with him as a flatmate at the Brougham Street house in NP. He was loads of fun, had a great sense of humour, a great laugh and outlook on life. He showed me how not to take life too seriously. We shared a love of music and dancing & I love Elvis Costello to this day because of Greg. So much more I can say. My deepest condolences to Greg’s children and family. Always in my heart.
See you in the stars dear friend to the end. Fun and laughter, orkneys Harrogate, Gisborne, Ireland, knaresborough live bands, Watford live bands. We had so many special times for our memories. I bid you farewell and know the universe 🙏 can see our fate.❤️🏊🍾
