I only heard the sad news today. We knew her as Aunty Pam as she was a wonderful friend of my parents the late Noeleen and Albert Bernhard (Putāruru). Pam was also a dear friend of Nel Caldwell (née Bernhard) Pam was a wonderful, kind and caring lady who will be greatly missed. RIP

Caring for us so personally and expertly, when we were so much in need, recovering from surgery arising from being smashed, needing dust off. And later back in NZ

My sincere condolences for your loss. Pam was with my brother in the hospital after he was killed in action and the subsequent return of his body by chopper to the hospital. I attended a reunion at Waiouru several years ago and sat with her at the Dining In. She was a very courageous lovely lady and a huge loss. She will be remembered by many. As I am currently in hospital, I am not able to attend the service. RIP. Wayne Williams LT RNZN RTD Wayne

Moe mai ra Auntie Pam i to moenga roa. I will always treasure our conversations and your support throughout my service in the Army. You were always there for our whanau and a great sounding board for all the Veterans who you've supported and guided throughout the years. The world has lost a true inspiration and an amazing woman. We will miss you dearly and wish I could've been there to say my final farewell in person but this will have to do. Auntie Pam you have attended your last parade and have served this country with honour and dignity your job is now done. Go now to your eternal rest where your family, loved ones, and brothers and sisters in Arms wait receive you on that parade ground in the sky. For the last time "FALL OUT" With all my love and tears in my eyes as I write this. Farewell for now Auntie Pam, till we meet again. Skippy Albert, daughter of Eric and Waina Albert and proud descendant of V4 Company.
