Passed away peacefully at home after a short illness, surrounded by loved ones on Friday, 9 August 2024. Loved son of the late Greg and Kath McNeil. Special and devoted dad to Paul. A man who loved family and would do anything to help out. Former police Sergeant 3331, who played a significant role in forming Neighbourhood Watch in West Auckland with the outstanding support of the Western Leader and the community.

God looked around to find someone who is a real true mate and then called him up to an open pearly gate. He looked down upon His Earth and he saw Wayne's tiring face. Come to me God said, I have for you a space. He knew he was not perfect, but He will forgive and allow him to rest. For God and we know he was really one of the best.
