I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the way,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Mark it was my privilege to care for you the short time I knew you. You always knew how to make me laugh. I always enjoyed our time together. I liked your wit and sense of humour. I will miss our catch up chats. I hope you are enjoying unlimited fish and chips in your dream motorhome pain free. Love Shannon x
Mark had an amazing ability to see the positive in people, he helped me to be the person I am today. I’d never been near a cow after Dad died but working on the farm with Mark during my time in NZ, made me realise that I could do it & the only barrier to my success was me. He inspired a confidence in me which I didn’t know existed. Mark welcomed me into his family & I will always be grateful for the time I spent in the company of the Young family.. Equally, Mark was part of our family. His visits to us in the UK were full of laughter and fun. I will miss his Sunday morning phone calls and our chats about the state of world wide agriculture but most of all I will miss his friendship. Mark was like a second son to my Mum, she thought the world of him. So much so that in one of her visits to NZ she cleaned his windows & did the gardening! Thank you Mark for everything, I am grateful for your friendship, your kindness & your belief in me. Rest in peace & say Hi to Mother & Father from me xxx
Thank you for your amazing hospitality. You always encouraged people to visit New Zealand from the UK. You showed us the real New Zealand life as well as the tourist sights. You always made us feel like part of the Young family. New Zealand feels like my second home and no doubt I will keep returning. Much love to all Marks family and friends.
Dear Mark, Personally, I would like to thank you for your hospitality while visiting the Ag day at Te Kowhai school. Quite a treat for your city slicker part of the family. Sonia
