Tributes

Deepest condolences to Ailsa and members of the late Gavin's family. I remember with thankfulness his participation in the St Andrews, Wellington group which was influenced greatly by the friendship and leadership he and others offered. In those days Gavin;s love of technology was apparent and I remember his generosity in ferrying others around in his little Fiat car. to church or other group outings. May he rest in peace after a full life so richly lived.

Our thoughts today are with Ailsa and her family. Margaret and I are so sorry we cannot be there with you. Please know that we are thinking of you all at this very sad time and that we are sending you our love across the miles! As a Rotarian, Radio Ham and Past President of Fairfield Rotary Club, Gavin was an outstanding member who spent many years working with the Rotary Friendship Exchange Committee, welcoming to New Zealand Rotary groups from districts around the world. His work has been recognised by the award of the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship. Gavin was a generous and gentle man who made a massive contribution to others less fortunate and someone who will be sorely missed by all in his Rotary Family.
