Dr Bruce Thompson's teaching threaded with God's kindness & gentleness changed my life forever. I can never forget him. On my way back to Australia from USA I swung by Kaikua Kona to thank him. I was able to restore relationship with my parents, so for many decades we were able to restore relationship & communicate. What a wonderful blessing. Dad died 4 June 2023, but we were able to communicate, praying, me reading the Bible to him - the Spirit never dies despite the difficult process of dying. Thank you, Thank you for teaching me to care for my dear parents. I have had so much blessing. Jean Rbertson
What a wonderful tribute to a remarkable man. We did not know Bruce for all that long but yet he still left his mark on us. So capable, so passionate and able to make you feel heard, seen and valued. Our hearts and prayers are with you and the family Barbara.
It was 1993 that I got to know the name Bruce Thompson. When I have attended the Devine Plumbline teaching in our DTS in Manila. After some years in YWAM, we went into a business me and my wife. And still we are now. But those months that I think Bruce was fighting for health, God has been stirring my heart to teach the Devine Plumbline. Now have already started a ministry that shares Bruce teaching. Thankful God brought so much healing to thousands of people through Dr. Bruce. We are all blessed by his life.
Dear Bruce, you and Barbara have a place in my heart for ever. Our many travels in the French speaking world and your leading in Châtel remain great memories. Because of you two, our hearts have turned more toward Jesus, and we still continue the race! Many of us are in full time ministry because of you two… Thank you from the bottom of our hearts: Laurette, Nadine, Eunice and Emmanuel, Dominique, Pascale, Claire et Marc-André, Elisabeth et Gérard, Samuel et Samuel Widmer, Régine, Miriam, Mireille, Christine and Eric, … and many more! All my love, Barbara, Michael and Lionel, and family. Cathy
I only meet Uncle Bruce and Aunty Barbara around 10 times over all the years, when they visited NZ from Hawaii or later at Christmas events. As so many people have said, Uncle Bruce always displayed the fruits of the spirit. The word I associate with him is grace. We always know that God's grace is fundamental to our faith, but Bruce embodied this in the way he cared for others, made them feel welcome, and accepted. Truly an example of a saint to try and emulate.
It was a lovely service. All the great 👍 memories of Bruce. I remember the time he looked after our family while one of my bothers needed stitches in his head after a fall in Hawaii. I was gentle and caring for him and all our family. Thank you Bruce for your kindness , love 💕 and compassion
A beautiful ceremony of love, dedication and memories... thank you for sharing. Love and strength to you Aunty Barbara, Michael, Lionel, Aunty Glen and Uncle Stan ❤️

Je pleure mais je veux lui être fidèle dans tout ce qu Il nous a laissé comme père de la relation d’aide chrétienne pour continuer à porter l’Amour pour les cœurs brisés qu il nous a transmis ! To our dearest friend Bruce, Thanks for your wonderful and deep friendship during our time in Kona and beyond. Thanks Bruce for giving Debbie away at our wedding on that great day of January 13, 1978. You blessed us with friendship, meals together, great laughter together, processing the kingdom of God together and love. You are in the presence of Jesus now and soon all of us will join you. Enjoy every eternal moment which is forever. Blessings, Dave and Debbie Gustaveson
We have so appriciated Bruce for who he was and his teaching of the plumb line stayed with us most of our lifes his humility and kindness in serving others has been such a blessing to us and we enjoyed the times we had to meet up with both of them Thank you From Mart and Emmie.
It has been such a privilege to reconnect with Bruce, more over the last 5 years. We always loved our gatherings and appreciated Bruce's, loving gentleness, kindness and wise words. Every time we came away feeling very peaceful afterwards. You were a true man of God Bruce, emanating Jesus and his love and the only thing that gives us comfort, is knowing you will be in his everlasting love and joy, forever in his peaceful presence. We will miss you very much but one day look forward to meeting again in Glory. As you said, we suffer as he suffers and we will glory as he glories. Love to all the Thompson family at this time. Xx
We honor and respect the memory of our dear colleague and friend Bruce. We first met Bruce through his wonderful teaching ministry (Derek: 1985, KiEun:1998). We became friends over the years working alongside him in the University of the Nations. His gentleness, his humor, his connection to God and his clear vision for holistic health were always an inspiration. Some people when they speak, you sit up and listen. Bruce was one of those people, deeply loved and admired. Some day “we will meet on that beautiful shore” and what a reunion that will be!
