Judith Hurst

Born 21 February, 1940. Passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Auckland Hospital on September 3 2024. In the end there was no pain, and family was by her side. A nurse for most of her life, Judy loved the role and working with her patients. It was fitting she was cared for by many of her peers in her final days. Mother to Anthony, Anna and David, sister to Bill and Julia, sister-in-law to Graham and Trish, Grand-Judy to Finn, Lucia, Joshua and Mia and Aunty to John, Paul, Tash, Cushla, Chris, Sarah, the other Chris and their children. Family, friends, former colleagues and patients are welcome to join us to celebrate Judy's life this Sunday, 2.30pm at Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road. Please wear bright colours - red a favourite. No flowers, donations instead to Starship, St Johns or Salvation Army.

First of my condolences to Judy's immediate family and extended family. Love you all and thinking of you all. May I say what a wonderfull service celebrating the life of Judy Hurst. Thank you to Anthony and his family, and to all of Judy's family for sharing such beautiful stories, memories and inspiring insights into the Person whom was and will be forever remembered as Judy Hurst. I only had a moment in person to talk with Judy at my brother John's memorial get together in Auckland In may this year but Judy was everything that you have all mentioned here today and knowing that she had a genuine desire to know and care for me and my family means so much.
