MACASKILL, Heather Jane Laurie. Passed away at Hospice Southland on Sunday 8th September 2024, aged 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Allan. Loved Mum of Irene Halford, Judith and Fraser McRae (Gore), Genice and the late Brian Ramsay, and Barry and Sandra. Loved Gran, Nan to her 11 grandchildren and her 20 great grandchildren. Loved sister of Cecily Eade. A service to celebrate Heathers life will be held in the Southland Crematorium Chapel on Monday 16th September 2024 at 1.30pm. Heather you were special to R.I.L. till we meet again condolences to your family.
My condolences to the entire family on Aunty Heather’s passing. I ‘Linked’ into the service to say my farewells. One of my earlier memories was when Bryan and Uncle Alan both worked at Aulsbrooks (early 70’s) . A big boss had come down and we had a dinner out. The Rep. at the time was Wally Mudie and he was introducing everyone. When he got to Aunty Heather and I he only introduced one and continued. The boss kept looking back at us and must have mentioned to Wally he missed someone. “ I couldn’t be bothered saying the name twice” was his answer.
