Dear Poppa (The most amazing man in our hearts) I loved you exactly how you were and whenever people were sad you always stood up for them and you were always so kind to all of us. No matter what, you were the kindest Poppa in our hearts. You made me smile in my heart and made us laugh when we were sad. You were the kindest, bravest, funniest, amazing, loveliest man in our hearts. I also loved playing connect 4 with you, making Lego and eating ice creams together. Love from Tilly xoxoox
I loved my Poppa so much. But many people have Poppas but my Poppa was special. When it is either playing Barbies or walking on the beach eating our favourite Ice-cream boysenberry but if it was cold we would always play connect 4. My Poppa really was amazing and I will always remember the fun times with him. Even for me getting to speak at my Poppas event was the best as at the end I got to say a sentence about my Poppa and how kind he was. But I will also never forget the kindness he shared with everyone. I will never forgot my Poppa. But it is still sad looking at the end of the table to see him not sitting there with his favourite food. Even that my Poppa is now gone I am so grateful that I had 12 years to spend with him. I saw a photo of me and my Poppa and it said at the bottom of I was so happy to see my Poppa again when I was about 3 years old. One day when my Poppa was so kind and came to our beach house he had played sports all day like tennis and then I saw him walking over to sit down so I followed him and sat down with him. Thank you so much Poppa for being so kind to me and that you were my Poppa.
Paul was my tutor during the years 2021 & 2022. He made such an impact on my learning with his endless support and kindness. He was wise and thoughtful, we could all really feel how much he cared. He was an amazing teacher and one of the loveliest people I knew. I loved the part in the service about carrying a piece of his light with us- I would be grateful to have half the patience and grace Paul carried.
I met Paul when playing football for Tauranga City. More than being a very steady fullback, what impressed me was his calm, welcoming and gentlemanly personality. He was one of life's true gentleman, both on and off the pitch. On the field, he was a very fair sportsman, enjoyable to play with and against. Paul and I also went to watch games and enjoyed chatting in the stands at a number of big games. At Tauranga Boys' College, I had a bit to do with Luke and Jacob as coach of a College football team. They too were a pleasure to be working with. My thoughts are with you on this sad occasion and I you get some solace from knowing that Paul is so highly regarded. My wife Brenda, adds her condolences. My best wishes and sympathies to all of your family.
It is with much sadness I have heard of Paul's passing. I have much respect for Paul and his efforts he made on my behalf during my studies at the Bay of Plenty Poly-tech. Paul went out of his way to assist me in gaining a Licensed Building Practitioner registration in Design, which was very much appreciated. I would like to pass on my condolences to Paul's family. Yours sincerely Dave Morgan Waihi Beach Design & Build
